RADIO SPOT THIS SATURDAY
spacer (1K)

If you're next to a radio this Saturday morning, November 7th at 11:00am, Kristin and I will be on the Fit Zone Nation show on Freedom 570am with Neil Anderson & Lizz Bennett.  Anything could happen, the last time we were on the air with Big Budah, the topic of bloody nipples came up as well as chaffing in other sensitive areas.  It's gonna be fun.

SHOE THE SHOELESS
spacer (1K)

Our "Shoe the Shoeless" bin has been full all year long, no matter how quick we can empty it and get it to those in need.  Thank you so much for your donations; we'll keep it up if you will.  With the success of the shoe program, we thought we would try canned food -- Feed the Hungry.  If you can't make it to a holiday race to donate food but still want to donate, we've placed another bin in the store for canned food.  As it fills, we'll take it to the Ogden Rescue Mission and the Utah Food Bank.

NOVEMBER SPOTLIGHT - JULIE HANSEN
spacer (1K)

Running is a life long sport, but as far as runners go, not many can do it for a lifetime.  We often get burned out, old, injured, or life gets in the way.  But Julie Hansen has been at it for 30 years and counting; she's still having fun and seems to be enjoying it every step of the way (pun intended).  Her enthusiasm for the sport is contagious; for several years she's been teaching a class at Weber State University called Women in Motion.  In her class she covers nutrition, weight loss, lifestyle changes, and all things related to running or walking.  I'm not allowed to speak to large groups of sexy women anymore, but Kristin visits the class every year and speaks on the proper fitting of running shoes.  As the class progresses over the weeks, Julie mentors her "girls" as they train for the Ogden Marathon or Half Marathon.  Most of these ladies start at a ground zero fitness level, but Julie has them finishing at Ogden in just a few short weeks.  It's very inspirational; Jillian Michaels has nothing on Julie.  Speaking of the Ogden Marathon, Julie is responsible for all the great aid stations along the course.  She's organized the Ogden aid stations for 4 years now; when the race gets bigger and more of a production every year, Julie rises to the challenge and makes the race better every year.  The best thing to happen to the Ogden Marathon and running in northern Utah is when Julie moved here from Colorado.  We're glad she's here; she better not ever think about moving.  Julie is our November Runner Spotlight; please visit www.stridersrunning.com to read her questionnaire.
