Years running: Right around 11 years
Weekly mileage: On my regular training weeks I usually average 80-85 miles per week.

10000m: 33:16.12 (Also during my senior year at WSU)
Proudest running accomplishment:
I'd definitely have to say qualifying for and competing in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China!
Favorite training run: Basically running on any of the trails up by Weber State.
Why run - (motivation, inspiration): Because even though out of ten runs maybe only one of them feels really good, but that one run makes the other nine worth it. Because you set many goals but maybe only one of them is achieved, but that one is all that matters. Because you wake up early to run on tired and sore legs, and then go out again later that afternoon and do it all over again because you know that's what it takes. Because you've become addicted to that gut-wrenching oxygen debt that accompanies a solid workout. Because you can. Because it's one part of a whole that determines who you are.
Goals: Long term . . . London 2012!! Short term (next couple weeks) . . . make some money in some races in Paris and possibly Germany!
Favorite music to run to: This may sound weird, but I don't listen to music when I run outside, only when I'm stuck on a treadmill! And it's been a while since I've been on a treadmill, but when I am forced indoors I love to listen to the soundtrack ?Wicked'.
Favorite running gear - (shoes, apparel, etc.): Nike! J I've loved all the shoes and apparel that I get from Nike. Since I'm currently signed with them that's all I wear!
Best advice you've been given as a runner: From Coach Pilkington, "You're fit, so you will run well." These simple words helped me gain so much confidence in my running ability. Because Coach knew I could do it, I believed I could do it, so I just went out and did it!
Best motivational quote: If you fail to try, you'll never know what you are capable of doing.
Your role model: My husband, Mark. He is one of the hardest working people I know. He's also incredibly unselfish and I could not have done what I've done without him.
Favorite food: I'd have to say Mexican. That's what I was craving over in China. I also love Chinese food, but I've discovered that I like the Americanized Chinese food better than the Traditional Chinese food.
Hobbies or interests other than running: I love reading, playing the piano, I've recently gotten into a little bit of sewing and quilting, backpacking and camping with Mark, and almost any other sport.
