Why run - (motivation, inspiration): I run to challenge myself. I love how I feel when I have worked for something and then accomplished something difficult.
The greatest feeling I think I have had in running was finishing my 1st marathon. I also run because I love the people I have met through running. I run
because it feels good to be active and be part of something which connects me with so many other people. I have also been very inspired by the kids who I coach at Davis.
Goals: To continue running and finding new ways to challenge myself. To complete the Wasatch 100 in 2009 or 2010.
Favorite music to run to: Currently on my ipod: U2, Snow Patrol, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ben Folds
Favorite running gear - (shoes, apparel, etc.): Adidas (had to put that for Brad) and/or Brooks
Best advice you've been given as a runner: My father has always told me to work hard and follow my dreams in running and other areas.
Best motivational quote: "Tough times don't last, but tough people do." (A.C. Green, but I heard it from one of my high school athletes)
Your role model(s): My father, Roger Buhrley, Brad Anderson, and my wife (just for putting up with me)
Favorite food: Pizza
Hobbies or interests other than running: I like to read, juggle, teach, watch movies, sleep, and be outdoors (hiking, camping).
Anything else the world might want to know about you:
I made it in to Runners World 1 time (June 2006, I think) for winning the 1st ever Sedona Marathon.
